Give me some Disco Lights

Hola!

Been two weeks now, almost. So far so good, there's this rumor that my company is the best place to work in the bay area haha. But I have my reservations. Nowhere is perfect.

Ok, let's travel back in time and see what has happened. The first week at work was pretty much just learning names of my colleagues, learning the operations, decorating my cubicle, going for lunch with colleagues and get to know my work area aka hunt for good lunch hangouts. My manager invited me over for lunch with a couple of affiliates and I had the opportunity to experience Salt House, right by Golden Gate University. Errr, it was ok. Nothing spectacular. But I did order a freaking $15 sandwich for lunch! :p I didn't have to pay a dime. More affiliates please!!!!

One of the best things with my company is the kitchen. It's always filled with snacks and drinks. I even saw a freaking miniature Heineken keg! I still haven't had the chance to experience the coffee machine which looks like something that came out of the movie Terminator. It got too many buttons and stuff you can poke and pick. Maybe I'm just ignorant.

My colleagues are really cool but there's this minority group of people who refuses to make any eye contact, simply anti-social. I don't mind that because this group of ppl has already been labeled as stuck up rejected group. Sucks for them!I noticed that an asian girl puts on at least 50 yards of make up on her face and everyday, she puts on clothes that are meant for going to clubs at night. Let's not mention any names, we are adults. :P

So let's go back to kitchen. I'm spoiled with choices of unhealthy break tidbits everyday thus why my weight keeps on ballooning. I had famous amos cookies this afternoon and also chocolate raisins for snacks, on top of what I had for lunch.
My manager is constantly eating and grabbing stuff from the kitchen. She invited me to one of her "smoking sessions" downstairs, so, I had a good bonding time + some second hand smoke to add to the conversation. Oh, I got invited to so many happy hours already! Imagine, at least three happy hours in a week!! But I wanted to play it safe this month (still under probation), so, I politely declined. We got a party tomorrow though, it's an official office party! yipppeee!! My colleagues are such hardcore party animals! We going to have sake sangria, beers and some hawaiian food.

Yay to parties!!
